Lo scorso gennaio, durante le settimane della moda fiorentina, si è svolto un evento a cui non potevamo mancare. IUCU (la ricordate la bellissima copertina che ci ha disegnato?) ha portato le sue “donne” per una bellissima personale nel cuore di Firenze, presso la Galleria Civico 69. Nell’occasione abbiamo fatto quattro chiacchiere.

Raccontaci quest’esperienza. 

Non è la prima volta che espongo i miei quadri ma è stata la prima volta per questo nuovo ciclo. Ho realizzato questa serie di ”25 CORPI” appositamente per questa mostra tenutasi al CIVICO 69 di Firenze. Le reazioni sono state curiose e positive, “guardare le proprie opere con occhi di altri” aiuta a comprendere meglio il percorso intrapreso.

Che effetto fa esporre in una città così piena di arte come Firenze?

Firenze è una città dove tutto profuma arte, tutto sembra “fermo”, solo la gente si muove ed invecchia, i mattoni, i muri, le statue restano a guardare. Esporre in un luogo così pregno di storia incanta e fa sognare.

Hai in programma altri appuntamenti in cui potremo vedere le tue opere dal vivo?

Last January, during the weeks of the Florentine fashion, took place an event that we couldn’t miss. IUCU (you remember the beautiful cover that he have designed for us?) has brought his “women” for a wonderful personal in the heart of Florence, at the Galleria Civico 69. On this occasion we had a little talk.

Tell us about that experience. 

It’s not the first time that I expose my paintings but it was the first time for this new cycle. I created this series of “25 Corpi” specifically for this exhibition held at the Civico 69 in Florence. Reactions were curious and positive, “look at their own work with the eyes of others” helps to better understand the route taken.

What effect does it exhibit in a city so full of art like Florence?

Florence is a city where everything smells art, everything seems to “freeze” only people moves and ages, the bricks, the walls, the statues remain watching. Set out in a place so pregnant of history is an enchanted dream.

Are you planning other events in which we live to see your works?

Il suo stile è molto elaborato, ma allo stesso tempo offre immagini ricche di colore e spunti. La composizione dei ritratti è fatta tramite il disegno di oggetti di varie dimensioni. Steve Jobs è stato rappresentato mischiando tra loro disegni e immagini di tutti i più importanti prodotti Apple.

Il progetto di questo artista è strano ma interessante. Ha creato una serie di molotov a forma di cuore. L’amore è sicuramente un fuoco esplosivo che prende il cuore, ma perchè dobbiamo lanciarlo?

Questo Digital Artist argentino mi ha stupito. Le sue immagini surreali mi hanno ipnotizzato. Le trovo inquietanti ed eteree. Realizzate con colori opachi e cupì si stagliano davanti all’osservatore con grande maestosità. Splendido.

Oggi vi presento Rogier Van De Beek, un grafico, illustratore secondo me bravo ed originale. Il suo personaggio con le sembianze di gatto lo trovo originale e ben costruito. Lo stile fantasy del disegno è piacevole e nemmeno troppo cupo cupo grazie all’utilizzo di colori sobri ma brillanti.
