Questa settimana presentiamo una giovane e talentuosa fotografa belga, Sarah Herman. I suoi scatti leggeri e limpidi, le sue lolite nordiche, bionde e sfuggenti (quasi sempre di spalle), quella luce rarefatta e nostalgica mi hanno letteralmente conquistata.
E se non fosse bastato, le sue parole dirette contro la manipolazione e il furto degli scatti d’autore mi hanno definitamente convinta. Lascio dunque parlare lei stessa e le sue foto:
“My images are not made with the intention to become stock images. I find it disappointing to find my photos spread over the internet, edited by whoever thinks they need some change. While I try to hardly ever edit what I receive as film, they show up online being changed, going from slight colouradjustments to crops or even completely different lightning or merged into others. If someone believes an image needs some change, please do tell me,but don’t just go ahead, put them somewhere online under my name (if sourced at all!) while that’s not my work! I’m not saying that my images are good, but they’re mine.”
